Eric Orr meets Keith Haring, 30th Anniversary Poster
This poster commemorates the 30th year anniversary of our subway and studio drawing collaborations, 1984-2014.
A formal invitation from (one of the most important graffit/street artist of our time) artist Keith Haring was given to me on September 24, 1984, to collaborate on a series of black panel subway drawings, in the NYC subway system and end the collaborations with lunch and a series of drawings in his B'way studio.
The photo of this keystone drawing of one of Keith's iconic figures and a very early version of my Max Robot comic book character, embracing to show the collaboration effort and friendship bond. This memorialized image was taken by photographer Tseng Kwong Chi and is one of several photos documenting the drawings created that day in the subway.
This monumental poster and historical graffiti/street art moment in my artistic journey with Max Robot, has been approved by both the Keith Haring Foundation and Muna Tseng Dance Projects, Inc. New York
If you're a fan of my Max Robot art and a fan of Keith Haring's iconic imagery, Then here is a great opportunity to own a never released image of the keystone subway drawing of our collaborations.
This poster is signed by artist Eric Orr.
Poster measures 24 inches x 36 inches on 100lb uncoated paper stock to mimic the paper used in the ad spaces in the subway in the 1980's.
